Standard 3: Model digital-age work and learning.
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
Project: Build a Technology Day Group Project
Course: ITEC 57430 Computer Applications in Education
The purpose of this project was to create a technology-rich day where students used educational technologies in each of their daily academic and elective classes to promote 21st century skills. The project was designed for middle-school students.
This project meets the NETS-T Standard 3, specifically 3b, "Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation" because a technology-filled day will encourage the use of technology for student learning and success, and require collaboration among teachers to coordinate their lesson plans.

Project: Simulation/Game Final Project
Course: ITEC 67410 Simulation Games in Education
The purpose of this project was to research and develop an educational game to be used in my mathematics class that will enhance student learning. The project was designed for high school students learning how to memorize the digits of pi.
This project meets the NETS-T standard 3, specifically 3d, "Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning" because the use of the Internet and online games and simulations is an emerging strategy for learning.

Project: Web 2.0 Technology Project: Podcast
Course: ITEC 67438 Instructional Applications of the Internet
Course: ITEC 67438 Instructional Applications of the Internet
The purpose of this project was to explore a Web 2.0 tool and develop an instructional use for my classroom.
The project was designed for high school students to become familiar with Giovanni Ceva, a famous Italian mathematician. Using a podcast fits for this lesson because this is one of the few instances where a lecture format is appropriate for a mathematics classroom. This podcast serves as an introduction to their “Famous Mathematicians” project where students will work in pairs and research other famous mathematicians and post the information on our class WIKI PAGE. Click below to listen to the podcast. No speakers? No problem! See the transcript to read the Podcast.
The project meets the NETS-T Standard 3, specifically 3c, "Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats" because the use of a podcast and wiki is an effective and efficient way to communicate information between a teacher and his/her students and between students, and allow them to communicate with each other using digital age media.

Project: Tool Analysis, Demonstration, and Classroom Use Project
Course: ITEC 57427 Technology and Learning
The purpose of this project was to evaluate and demonstrate the use of a specific educational technology tool and identify ways that this tool can be used in the learning process. The project is not designed for a specific audience; it could be used with any age group or discipline.
This project meets the NETS-T Standard 3, specifically 3d, "Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning" because this assignment required me to analyze and evaluate a current digital tool that would support student learning.
